We are associated with the Church of God Reformation Movement with general offices in Anderson Indiana.

The Sand Springs Church of God had its beginning in 1918 in an open air meeting under the trees at 3rd and Wilson Avenue.  Now 89 years later, the Church worships in a beautiful gothic limestone building, located at 4th and Grant Avenue, in Sand Springs.

The first church building was a frame structure that measured 26 x 38 feet.  Rooms were added to this original building as the Congregation grew.  The Congregation began a building program when the need for a larger, more modern building was evident.  Following much prayer, planning and preparation, Reverend Kenneth Tabor was chosen as the general architect.  M. A. Roop, a Sand Springs resident and a part of the Congregation, was appointed general contractor and builder.

Construction on the new building began shortly after Easter in 1950.  The building was open and ready for occupancy on May 27, 1951.  The new gothic style Church of native cut limestone provided the congregation with 15,470 feet of floor space to be used as a place to teach and preach the Gospel.

Senior Pastors have been:  Reverend Archie Kinion, Reverend Farrell Berry,  Reverend Daulton Hutson, Reverend David C. Williams,  Reverend Mickey Kennedy, Reverend Bob Cole and presently Reverend David S. Dittman.  Associate Pastors have been:  Reverend Kenneth Kinion, Jim Holm, Dick Rash, Dan Allis, Tony Didway, Marvin Middlebrooks, Jan Michael Ridenhour, Terry Tope, Johnnie Millstead, Kevin Clouse, David Carney, Brandon Kough, Rob Raymond, Brad Burgess and Jan Dittman.  The work of the Church has progressed nicely over the years because of the excellent lay leadership and the efforts of these Senior Pastors and Associates.
